Horizonfirm, established in 2018, is a service company specializing in the development of utility-scale renewable energy sources (RES). We handle the planning, design, authorization, and management of large photovoltaic plants intended for large-scale energy production.

Utility-scale plants are typically large installations (from tens to hundreds of megawatts) designed to supply power to national or regional electricity grids.

Horizonfirm is also active in applied research and the training of young engineers and PhD students. We achieve this by collaborating with the Engineering Department of the Polytechnic School at the University of Palermo and with the largest international industrial players in the sector. We bring 15 years of experience to the field.

From the parent company Horizonfirm, the subsidiaries HorizonFarm and HorizonBess have been created in recent years. The purpose of these is to make our group one of the protagonists of the energy transition and participate in achieving national and European climate objectives, following the main technological, regulatory, and market trends:

• Storage Systems (Batteries): Essential for managing the intermittency of renewables, especially with the decrease in lithium battery costs and the development of alternative technologies (flow batteries, hydrogen for long-term storage).
